This is an update on the progress of the evening school.  It now has been started with 12 students and using minimal resources.  We’re in the process of trying to develop it into a sustainable project. Meaning that it should pay for itself.  Any ideas are welcome.

Our project desperately needs people that can write funding documents, grant requests, and generally help contact organizations that can provide us with whatever we need.  This person should be willing to take the time to prepare these documents properly.  Also anyone who has “connections” in the right places, would be helpful too. This is a blog about an attempt to start an evening school for underpriveledged children in Kootupuli, India.  We are online volunteers of Nabuur.com. A non-profit organization that brings together people all over the world to help communities in developing countries. 

India was one of the countries that was hit by the tsunami, but the government didn’t want outside help. They wanted to rebuild by themselves. But this resulted in the families not having any funds to send their children to school.  We don’t want sponsors for the children. Just funds to start the school.
